Tolstoy wrote dozens and dozens of ethical and religious books and essays, treatises on his educational ideas, social and political commentaries, and compositions on art and literature. They include attacks on the Russian Orthodox Church, discussions about the nature of art and rants against anti-violence and property ownership.
